Cynthia (Cindy) Myers joined Flagstar Bank in January 2014 as chief human resources officer. In this role, she is responsible for Flagstar’s human resource strategies and solutions, including total rewards, organizational development, talent management, recruiting, HRIS, internal communications, and diversity and inclusion. She brings 30 years of leadership experience in human resources in diverse environments, including business services, data collection, marketing, and energy.

 

Prior to joining Flagstar, she led human resources at RGIS, LLC, a global data collection and inventory services organization with offices in over 44 countries.

 

Earlier in her career, Myers served as vice president, human resources, at Minacs, a data base marketing firm. She was later promoted to general manager, with responsibility for operations of the company’s Michigan subsidiary. Prior to Minacs, she held various human resource management positions at DTE Energy, a Detroit-based utility company where she worked for 19 years.

Kristy Fercho joined Flagstar Bank in September 2017 as executive vice president and president of Mortgage. In this capacity, she is responsible for the direction and oversight of all aspects of Flagstar’s mortgage business and its continued expansion. She came to Flagstar from Fannie Mae, where most recently she was responsible for the customer delivery strategy and business performance of all customers in the western U.S. delivering single-family home loans to the agency. Her experience in the mortgage industry is broad and deep, covering mortgage originations, fulfillment, risk management, secondary marketing, servicing, and regulation. Fercho joined Fannie Mae in 2002 in Human Resources where as vice president she was responsible for the organization’s overall people strategy, talent acquisition, and culture transformation. Starting in 2007 she served in various mortgage customer management roles, including oversight of the mortgage production of nearly 2,000 lenders. Earlier in her career, she was with PepsiCo, ultimately serving as director of Human Resources with responsibility for corporate functions worldwide. She also held various positions in sales and operations at Baxter Healthcare. She currently serves as president of the board for Habitat for Humanity Chicago and chairperson of the board for LIFT, an organization to combat poverty and expand opportunity for all people nationwide. In September 2016, MR Report recognized her as one of the Top Women in Housing, and in June 2015, Diversity Journal listed her among Women Worth Watching.

Palmer Heenan was named executive vice president and manager of Secondary Marketing in July 2015. He joined Flagstar in 2009 as capital markets risk manager, developing the bank’s capital markets risk management program and its counterparty risk management policies.
In December 2012, he was named secondary marketing manager for Flagstar Capital Markets Corporation.

He has 30 years of experience working with banks and privately held mortgage companies in capital markets. His expertise in secondary marketing includes managing investor relationships, product development, pricing, risk analytics, trading, underwriting, and loan delivery.

Heenan has worked with government, agency, and privately held investors, as well as state bond programs. He has experience in all delivery channels from brokered to securitized and has actively traded mortgage servicing rights. Additionally, he has managed relationships with mortgage insurance companies and has experience running mortgage operations.

Early in his career, he was a pioneer in mortgage risk management and created one of the first option-based mortgage pipeline hedging systems.

She joined Flagstar in October 2013 from CitiMortgage where she was director and senior vice president of Correspondent Operations and Internal Controls, as well as Direct-to-Consumer Operations. She brings to Flagstar extensive experience in both financial services and mortgage operations. Her expertise spans a wide range of fields including strategic planning, project management, audit controls, process reengineering, quality control, and vendor management. Early in her career, she served as senior vice president, Mergers and Acquisitions, at Lehman Brothers. She also was national director of Retail Operations for Washington Mutual and held senior roles at Chase Bank, including director of Homeownership Preservation Operations. While at CitiMortgage, she also held the position of senior vice president and national operations director for Consumer Direct Lending. She serves on the Michigan Electronic Recording Commission as an appointee of Gov. Rick Snyder, and is a member of the board of directors of Haven, a treatment center for domestic abuse.
