Officer of the bank and the country

When a Brigadier General in the U.S. Army talks about duty, it means something. Flagstar Bank Senior Vice President Jeff Terrill considers it his duty to take care of his clients, shareholders, family, and soldiers.

For more than 25 years, Jeff has served in bank leadership roles providing capital to privately held middle-market companies. In his current role as Senior Vice President/Group Manager Commercial Banking, he focuses on specialty finance, leverage lending, and asset securitization.

“The opportunity to work, grow, and lead a fast-growing commercial banking team was too good to pass up.”

Through his years of military service, Jeff was a lead strategist for joint military training exercises, including Operation Northern Strike and Operation Northern Exposure. His staff is also among the first to show up and provide relief after a hurricane or other state or federal emergency.

His love of learning has led to degrees from Michigan State University, Wayne State University, the U.S. Army War College, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.

In his free time, Jeff continues serving the community as a board member of the YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit and assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 755 for the Boy Scouts of America.
