Michael received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State before heading to California to pursue an MBA in finance at USC. Upon graduation, he then spent nearly 27 years working for GE and GE Capital, where he became a senior vice president of commercial equipment finance.


Using leases, loans, and other financial products, he offers his clients alternate, structured solutions. “I enjoy placing capital and helping U.S. companies grow and reach their goals.”


His expertise helps the public sector as well. “Flagstar’s tax-exempt products are ideal for municipalities and non-profits such as hospitals and universities.”


Working out of Newport Beach, CA, Pluta has volunteered his time with Habitat for Humanity to help renovate low-income homes, and enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and running with his dog along the coastline.
