A lifetime of developed community experience.
Drew grew up in one of America’s first master planned communities—a 29,000 acre plan in Texas which became “the pinnacle, and what other communities have been based on.” “I watched homes, schools, lakes, and golf courses being built. I guess you can say I was bit by the real estate bug very young.”
Having worked in many facets of banking for 16 years, Szilagyi found himself repeatedly returning to homebuilder finance. “Every deal is different, and every homebuilder is different,” Szilagyi says. “I’m good at meeting my client’s needs, and like to be a lender as well as an advisor.” He also enjoys seeing the varying types of architecture and features that communities across the country request.
Besides making a difference in the ways neighborhoods are built, Drew is rewarded by the work he does with children. In addition to coaching four teams for his children throughout the year, he’s worked with the Periwinkle Foundation—an outreach program for children with cancer and other illnesses—for over 16 years. “Besides my own children, it’s the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done.”
