After graduating with a bachelors in administrative management from Davenport University, Cheryl Garland sold life insurance, long-term care and disability insurance for Northwestern Mutual—sparking her interest in sales. She then spent ten years at Comerica—three in retail, working as a teller, and in operations. The remaining seven years on their treasury management sales team, where she developed their sales support training program.

Now at Flagstar, Garland uses the knowledge she’s gained over the years to educate branch employees and business owners about treasury management. “Our services uncover efficiencies for small businesses—helping to make every penny work for them,” she says. “We can craft solutions for business owners to help lower costs and improve productivity.”

Cheryl lives in the metro Detroit area with her husband and eight-year-old daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family in her spare time.
