We do everything we can to make your Online and Mobile Banking experience as secure as possible. Each transaction is equipped with high-tech protection allowing you to bank with peace of mind.

 

When you log in using your mobile device, you are logging in with the same multi-layer security that is used as if you logged on from your desktop computer. We confirm your credentials along with the device you are using.

 

We also provide a comprehensive suite of security features so you can stay in control of your account 24/7. With Debit Card Controls, you can freeze your card, set spending limits, and more. Account Alerts keep you in-the-know with real-time information. Set up Touch and Face ID in your Flagstar Mobile Banking app for added protection.

With Account Alerts, you can stay up to date with what’s happening in your account—to the degree that you want. You can receive alerts for every transaction or just one alert when your savings account reaches a specific amount. It’s a service with many options to choose from, and you can change your alerts anytime. 

Call 888-248-6423 and select option 2 for Card Support if your ATM or Flagstar Visa® Debit Card is missing. We will restrict the card from being used and send you a new card.

 

If you think you simply misplaced your card, you can use Debit Card Controls to put a freeze on it and block unauthorized use. Sign in to Online Banking, select Profile and Settings, then Debit Card Controls.

Debit Card Controls are a great way to keep up with your account and protect it against fraud. You can sign in to Online or Mobile Banking to customize your controls to your needs.  

 

You can set Debit Card Controls to:

  • Stop new transactions
  • Decline purchases outside the United States
  • Limit the geographic area where your card can be used
  • Prevent purchases from certain types of merchants
  • Block certain types of transactions, like ATM, online, in-store
  • Set a maximum amount per transaction
  • You can also set up alerts to receive email or text notifications for:
    • Every transaction
    • Transactions over an amount you set
    • International card use
    • Card use at a certain type of merchant
    • Certain types of card use (ATM, online, in-store, mail/phone order)
