Please note that, in order to confirm you as a successor in interest to the borrower, we will require proof that you were transferred an ownership interest in the borrower’s property and proof of your identity.

GIVEN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, WE WILL ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:

To prove that there was a divorce or separation:

• Divorce decree; or
• Decree of legal separation

To prove that you were transferred an ownership interest in the borrower’s property:

• If the property was transferred through a deed:
  • Deed transferring the property to you
• If a divorce decree or judgment affecting the property was issued by a court in a state other than Missouri:
  • Deed transferring the property to you
• If you do not have a deed, but do have a divorce decree or decree of legal separation that includes specific language of conveyance of title to you, either:
  • Divorce decree; or
  • Decree of legal separation
• If you do not have a deed, but do have a divorce decree or decree of legal separation that incorporates a separation and property settlement agreement and includes specific language of conveyance of title to you:
  • Settlement agreement, and either the:
    • Divorce decree, or
    • Decree of legal separation

• If you do not currently have a deed, but do have a divorce decree or decree of legal separation that does not include specific language of conveyance of title to you:
  • Deed transferring the property to you
