Please note that, in order to confirm you as a successor in interest to the borrower, we will require proof that you were transferred an ownership interest in the borrower’s property and proof of your identity.

GIVEN YOUR CIRCUMSTANCES, WE WILL ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:

To prove that there was a divorce or separation:

• Judgment of dissolution; or
• Judgment for legal separation

To prove that you were transferred an ownership interest in the borrower’s property:

• If the property was transferred through a deed:
  • Deed transferring the property to you
• If a divorce decree or judgment affecting the property was issued by a court in a state other than Oregon:
  • Deed transferring the property to you
• If you do not have a deed, but do have a judgment of dissolution of marriage or judgment for legal separation and the time period mentioned for executing the deed has expired, either:
  • Judgment of dissolution, or
  • Judgment for legal separation
• If you do not have a deed, but do have a judgment of dissolution of marriage or judgment for legal separation that incorporates a settlement agreement and the time period mentioned for executing the deed has expired:
  • Settlement agreement, and either the:
    • Judgment of dissolution, or
    • Judgment for legal separation
