CEO Action Fellows
Taking action to create systemic change.
Empowering our associates to create change
Flagstar CEO Sandro DiNello signed the CEO Action for Diversity & Inclusion pledge in 2017 to demonstrate our commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts. Comprised of more than 2,000 CEOs from 85 industries, CEO Action began with a shared belief that DE&I is a societal issue, not a competitive one, and that the business community is a vital part of driving change at scale.
In the fall of 2020, Flagstar sponsored two employees to be a part of CEO Action for Racial Equity, a fellowship to advance racial equity through public policy. Since then, fellows from more than 100 companies have worked to identify, develop, and promote policies to positively impact 47+ million Black Americans and improve societal well-being.
Building scalable, sustainable change
CEO Action for Racial Equity has an issue agenda featuring eight public policy solutions and three social contracts solutions. The fellowship is also using a place-based approach to drive change locally in three cities: Detroit, Michigan; Oakland, California; and Baltimore, Maryland. Fellows identify current community efforts, partner with local organizations, and connect them to corporate resources to accelerate their impact.
