PROTECTING YOUR FINANCES
Scammers are working harder than ever to steal your personal and financial information. They may contact you by phone, text, or email—pretending to be from your bank or another trusted organization. They might even use caller ID spoofing to make it look like a legitimate call. They’ll try to create urgency and pressure you to act quickly.
Stay alert. Don’t share personal information. Don’t fall for it.
Flagstar Bank will never:
- Call and ask for personal or account information without a prior request or notice.
- Send you links via text to confirm sensitive details.
- Request your password for verification purposes.
- Request a one-time passcode without you calling us directly.
- Pressure you to complete a financial transaction.
What You Should Do:
- If someone contacts you unexpectedly, hang up and call Flagstar directly.
- Never share your account number, login ID, password, or one-time passcode.
- Don’t click on suspicious links in texts or emails such as “flagster.com”.
